No cop shows for me and my brother. When we played in the back yard, he was Sgt. Saunders and I was Lt. Hanley from "Combat".
6x face? Really? When was this? halves are worth about $10 right now, quarters about $5, and dimes $2. I know they have to make a profit but really?
It was about the first part of last year I believe. My son and I had gone to the coin show at the Palace Station the previous week and the buy was 20x, sell 22x. When I was given that buy price, I figured they were preying on desperate people so I just turned around and walked out. I never went back. My son takes friends who come to town there to see it. It is popular, since the TV show. I read in our paper that Chumley makes $250k an episode !! Man, am I jealous !! lol
When the show calls in the experts, I must give them an advanced look or pic of the item. They must do a little research prior to showing up. How else can the hand writing guy know the signature of every famous person? He must review the nuicances of the famous person's signature prior to coming to the shop.
:devil:Chummily maybe a fool but soon fools make million.just being a fool. Chum is one of the better worker + I think the Old man is one too.:smile
Has anyone in the Detroit area ever visit the Hardcore Pawn store? That's the store I'd like to visit. The Cajun Pawn Stars store looks like they have the best selection of the three.
What is your involvement in the show? Do you select the experts that will look at the item or do you simply schedule a time and place for the expert to view the item?
I live about 15 mile from the Hardcore Pawn store. As far as I'm concerned, that's as close as I will go to that area.
