However, i love the strike and the original patina of the coin.</p><p><br /></p><p>Arsaces II reigned from 211 to 185 B.C and was the nephew of Arsaces I, the founder of the Arsacid Dynasty. This coin comes from the very beginings of the empire, when the Seleucids (under Antiochus III) still wielded sway over the infant Parthian Empire (really, before it became an empire). Nonetheless, the coin is fascinating to look at and to think of what it has seen.
