Next to the space series, the Totem Animals is my favorite from the Kazakhstan Mint. Intricate designs and selective gilding make these coins very eye appealing. It took a while for the 2021 Swan (Aqqy) to be released (March 2023-over 14 months after the last day of 2021) but that has been the pattern lately (the 2020 took until November 2021 to be released). Still it was worth the wait! Comparing the swan to others, it is very similar to the third coin (the deer). The only changes are the date and the animal. Meanwhile the first two (wolf and owl) had somewhat different design elements. Another interesting development is that the swan is the first to feature a pair while each of the previous three only had one (this also meant that instead of half the face being gilded, we see one entire swan gilded while the other is not). Mintages (silver versions) are as follows: 2018 Kokbori (Wolf) - 3,000 2019 Uki (Owl) - 3,000 2020 Bugy (Deer) - 3,500 2021 Aqqy (Swan) - 4,000 This year saw the highest mintage yet (likely based on the growing popularity of the series and increasing market value of earlier coins). That made the coin easier to acquire than the deer last year. The price was lower too and multiple sellers have it available on eBay. Also, local sellers were not limited to one coin from the mint, which was the case with the space coin released at the same time (making that one more difficult to acquire and causing its price to be much higher in the secondary market).

Out of all the totem animals, I think the swan one is my favorite. Reminds me of that swan silver round that was being sold about 2-3 years ago and was super popular with a lot of silver bugs
