Paris 2024 offers new Olympic medal after Huston says bronze looks ‘like it went to war’

I thought this was humorous - 10 days worth of toning on an Olympic bronze medal. AT? Send it off for grading and conservation!

I actually like the aging bronze,looks 100+ years old already.

 

I like it too. Sweat-toned by Nyjah Huston! Big bucks at auction! Apparently he's a skateboarding legend.

 

Some announcer on TV said all these that did this are going to be replaced.

 

I mean, I'll take it if he doesn't want it...

 

I wouldn’t want mine to be replaced if I won it in the Olympics. The toning looks nice.

 

What a silly complaint.

 

I tend to agree. "...after letting it sit on my skin with some sweat for a little bit and then letting my friends wear it over the weekend, they’re apparently not as high quality as you would think"

If they're super cheap, maybe he has a point. But if you're going to let all your buddies clink it around, what did you expect? Preserve it or don't, your choice. (Don't let this guy handle any of your coins.)

 

Yeah, I like the toning too. It took years of hard work to win such a prestigious medal and this one looks a match to that effort.
