I hate to say it&#039;s something of a letdown note compared to the otherwise &quot;nicer&quot; designs of other JIM notes, including the very very nice 500 Peso note. Of course, at that time Japan was reeling and frankly didn&#039;t have the resources to do anything other than massively overprint cheap paper in the Philippines. I believe this note was printing in 1945 so the end was near, and it sort of shows in this note...</p><p><br /></p><p>Note the back - Vote for Reyes for Congress! Not sure if that is for the US Congress or in the Philippines itself.
