Well howza about a slice of Key Lime Note? The color on this 1928B From Minny is almost textbook lime, really sharp note in hand and the lime green pops like a (I have removed this joke as it is, while funny, extremely raunchy...). Let's just say it pops...
These were gifts to our family when we were in the port ministry in Washington State at our church (1980) from seaman off of the ships as a token of appreciation.
Those are cool notes, Kbabyjohnson1. Especially given the story behind them. I always wonder how foreign notes get to the United States, and in this case we know.
Received this one also....in 1981 (Mom wrote the date on it when we received it and who from.) This man's wife was having a baby (twins) and he was on the ship so we (the church ministry) gave him a baby shower. He was so touched by all of the gifts that were given to him and insisted on giving something in return.
It only took 20 years but I have finally completed my City of Milwaukee $1.00 depression scrip set. Only five notes in the set but they are difficult to find. I found the Series D at a show this weekend.
And now I'm seeing stars! Well, two new ones, on my slow march to collect all of the 1934 stars releases...
