Nice looking Speelman/White $1 SC @DM1, one of the workhorses of the 1920’s.

Series 692 $5 in PMG 67EPQ *STAR*, this is my very first star rated note
most people know me as primarily a PCGS guy and that still holds true
however when its right its right :) here are some quick facts.

    Series 692

    Issued - October 7, 1970

Withdrawn - June 6, 1971 ( For the fractional denominations)
March 15, 1973 ( For the Dollar denominations)

    Primary use: Vietnam

Since these are pretty common workhorses, I saw this as a way to acquire a large note in good shape without breaking the bank :)

I agree. Many new collectors choose the 1923 $1 SC as their first large-size note because of both their availability and affordability.

I bought a stack of one dollar silver certificates and this was in them. I was pleasantly surprised because the notes were mostly Dollar SC star note.jpg well circulated and look worn

Can't believe I was able to get this 2-Digit serial number & Superb Gem (67 PPQ)!

It's one of the nicer notes I've ever had.

Nice low serial number. What was the ballpark figure you had to give, if you don't mind disclosing?
