Well, I was going to wait until I had these in hand, but excitement is getting the best of me. Won these two on Heritage Friday night.
Great additions @HawaiiCurrencyCollector ! The back design on these has always been one of my favorites.
Thanks! The design on the back is one of my favorites, too. Definitely looking forward to receiving them in the mail!
Beautiful notes, @HawaiiCurrencyCollector , Love the design. And the second is a Binary note to boot!
Thanks! I wasn’t really going after the repeater s/n. I had a higher max bid on the New York. It just so happened that I ended up with the high bid on the repeater as well. Definitely not complaining though!
Also ended up purchasing this from Heritage. Decided to upgrade my 1914 $20 FRN assortment as well. Will probably be on the hunt for a higher grade 1914 $50 FRN now. Good news is that I received my invoice this morning and everything has been paid for. Now it’s time to play the waiting game and see how long it takes to arrive to Hawaii.
Another wonderful addition @HawaiiCurrencyCollector, congratulations bud. And another FRN with a beautiful back vignette displaying the four major forms of transportation, Train, Ship, Automobile and Airplane...with a cameo from the Statue of Liberty.
Thanks! These 1914 series FRNs really have some exquisite back designs. It’s what first drew me to them.
Great notes ! but i think they missed something on that $20 64, that back is Well off center, if you compare you $100 63, i think that looks allot better then your $20 64, that actually looks 63 or even 62, just making an observation
Here are some good example,s of the 64 grade in comparison, i like these actually better then the 65 grade as most of the time there are no centering issues.
and to compare apples to apples here,s another 63 from PMG, so make your own comparison especially on the centering.
Thanks! I also like the $100 repeater as it’s a first for me and also completes my series of 1914 FRNs!
Super nice additions Drew, congratulations bud. I bought these recently not for the notes, but for the holders. No one knows how long Legacy Currency Grading will be around and I wanted an example of their holder. They will also act as a reminder of the TPG turmoil of 2019. Bought for $22 plus S&H, $25 total...I’m guessing that’s pretty close to what the grading fees & shipping would cost for these two notes.
