I take it that was FMV....not much difference if you bought from a LCS or HA ? Sometimes if a bill liks this is so fare, you pay up because it can be months or years before another is available.
I found a few * notes among the SC's and 1963 $1's that I inherited. Condition looks CU 63 or higher, worth a nice multiple of FV ?
Just purchased this one. A dragon , a pagoda and Confucius. I did read somewhere on the web that the Chinese engraver modified the image of Confucius so the hands are making an obscene gesture directed at the Japanese issuers of the note. It must be true. I read it on the internet.
$2 bills tend have no value over face, however from a collecting point of View i think there rather unique, i say collect what you want
I think he's saying that most recent $2 bill, unless in near-perfect condition, don't trade much above $2. Wrong ?
Hey, I purchased these late last year or earlier this year but I know I didn't include back photos. Here's a 1957B SC....got it mostly because of the high-grade to compare other notes to:
Here's a couple of 66-rated Silver Certificates with very low serial numbers....the 1935 in the PCGS holder is a bit "wavy" (the plastic not the bill) but appears good quality. The PMG 66 is SN 86; the PCGS is SN 26. I can't recall lower serial numbers unless the cost was close to or over $1,000.
So I swing by the bank for a quick withdrawal. Must have said the wrong thing about being in a bit of a hurry. I might be out a few bucks on this deal? BUT Who gets in trouble if I keep it? Seriously though, it was just a show and tell piece at the local coin club meeting tonight.
You've heard of die packs in bank robbery loot? That is the cleaner way to identify the suspects....its a GPS currency tracker.
Was it in a bundle or just with some other $20s? That teller might just loose the job. I'd take it back and hand it to the bank manager or someone in charge. They aren't cheap.
