Couple new ones from online auction (not Heritage even though these two were recently sold by Heritage, guess buyer didn't want them.) == == ==
Acquired from recent online auction; grade seems okay; only issue is it was not attributed as a CGA UNC note; may send for different opinion. == ==
Not to be the bearer of bad news or throw water on your parade but that note is over graded by atleast two full points the front side margins mimic a 62-63 at PCGS Or 60-61 at PMG, how it got a 64 is beyond me
mpcusa, I agree with you as I knew it just couldn't be 64; I suspect 60-62. Will see and may send it back. Least I didn't pay a 64 price.
Personally and respectfully, I believe it might be a 63. I do not remember ever seeing a note graded 60, and I'm not even sure I've seen a note graded 61 either. Just for comparison sake, here's a 62.
Well they wouldnt have the grade if that note didnt exist !i went to PCGS and got the following results, did the complete MPC Series and paper is paper so it will grade alike 3-60 18-61 15-61 PPQ 24-62 11-62 PPQ and im sure you will find similar results at PMG, the rare
I never said they don't exist, I said "I do not remember ever seeing a note graded 60, and I'm not even sure I've seen a note graded 61 either.
CGA is a disreputable grading service. http://www.ebay.com/gds/CGA-Grading-No-Returns-photos-Ebays-inexperience-/10000000021419835/g.html https://www.cointalk.com/threads/paper-money-grading-cga.264530/ The paper of your note looks unusally dull and greasy, even for that issue. Lower left looks like a hard teller smudge displaced some of the serial number ink. I would definitely not call it a 64.
