This note was delivered yesterday: ...and here is here signature before she married Walter Kabis in 1970:
silent, your note came from a rather large print run from the D.C. printing facility in July 1997. 5,120,000 total were printed, with yours being run #2. It looks to be about XF, so value is around $70 or so. avenger, a web press note is a note that was made with the BEP's failed attempt to minimize costs associated with the printing of $1 bills. It was continuously fed like newspapers are and printed on both sides at once. They did this from 1992 until 1996 when they finally scrapped the expensive project and went back to printing notes the way they used to.
A couple more, and Thank You 'coleguy' I to love that classic scalloping myself! Something severely lacking in newer designs! I got trumped on a pretty heavily used 1886 $5 Silver Cert with the five Morgan's on the back! OMG those are gorgeous! But the bidding finally ended at over $1400, and that was way outside my range for a bill that looks like it's been washed a couple times! BTW: I have a couple really really nice Black Eagles on the way, and I can't wait to post those here!
Nice Star jcakcoin! Time to invest in some currency sleeves or a nice book to put her in... Here's a little 1928A FRN $100 I picked up last week! Paid $130! I think I did pretty good on that deal If you ask me...
Here some of my work to show off my BEP pieces on my wall. Thought about selling these and similar ones on Ebay, cause they really are beautiful! This particular one is the Luck Lion along with a $10 Star.
Nice $10's Ron. Be aware that the corners of the notes are sometimes affected by being in the BEP folders and tucked under the slits.
Good point Steve! I'll have to either switch to large sleeves, or cut the slots closer to the edge or better yet find a better way of mounting them?
Nice black eagles Ron! Mine has that weird symbol as well. Anyone have an idea as to what exactly it is?
Really nice, Ron, those two are stunning! What weird symbol, Doc? I'm not catching the refererence... Dave
There is a symbol at the end of the serial number on the first Black Eagle. I really haven't found anything that tells me what its meaning is.
