A little surprised they didn't use a train vignette instead of a nautical theme as the main center engraving.

I got this for $6. It's as crisp as it was the day it was printed.

Today's new pickup comes from British administered Egypt, a 25 Piastres note that represents a grade upgrade for a previous version. I do really like Egypt notes, anytime you can throw a camel down on a note, it's a winner... alot of color on the back of this note. So many Egypt notes have writing on them it's amazing, it's like they used the money as scratch paper constantly. Some harder to get notes are even harder to get without scribbling all over it. I'm just glad this note comes in sharp and doodle-free...

Today's new get is from Brazil, a 500 Cruzeiros note from the ABNCo designed Tesouro Nacional series that have really neat reverse vignettes. This one shows Mercury and symbolizes the opening of the ports...

WHERE DID YOU GET THIS!?!?!? I've been looking for a cheap one for ages and that one is a lot better than ones I've seen selling for $30-40.

Ten bucks for a VG Eagle is a steal...

Today's new pickup is a 1840 $20 obsolete from the wordily named Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Company... there were a fair number of phony banks that claimed to be out of Washington D.C., but this one actually appears to have been legit...

Newest ones. Old Civil War era one. Beat to death.
And then two for my WW2 collection. France during the occupation and a victory peso. Love that one.

I have been looking for one of these for a long time. The tape from the short snorter gives me confidence that the modification was contemporary and not recent.

Next two notes . The last note not in series but 73 is a favorite number. 20150425_171853.jpg 20150425_171900.jpg 20150425_171910.jpg 20150425_171919.jpg

And why is 73 my favorite number? I'm glad you asked....
73 is the 21 first prime number, its mirror is 37 that is the 12th prime number, and its mirror is 21 ,21 is the product of multiplying 7 and 3, and in binary 73 is an palindrome , 1001001,which backwards is 1001001.
Think about it..... one heavy number! :) and if 73 were a bet on a roulette wheel I be flat broke. :banghead:
