I have this same note, and like yours, not dated. This bank may have never opened? My serial number is half of yours which means many did not see circulation. And since they are one dollar bills, these would have been the first to go out for use.
Toda's new pickup might be my last before my trip, it's a bit of an upgrade for me, a bit nicer 1914 25 Drachma note from Greece... old one was a bit beat, this one a bit better...
Here is a neat UK military note I got yesterday in the mail... nothing special, it is similar to our American military payment certificates. In the pre-decimal 1950s, 1 pound was a lot of money. Maybe that's why these were not issued. (According to measuring worth's calculators, 1 pound in 1958 is about $45 in 2015 American dollars).
This note is by far in the worst condition of any note I own. I had to be really careful it didn't come apart when I put it in a sleeve. It came with a group of coins I bought. Not worth much in this condition but it will be well taken care of for as long as I own it.
This was also part of the coin collection I bought. I know it isn't worth more than face but I thought the envelope was cool. There were 2 uncirculated $2 in the envelope.
My two pick ups from the ANA show in Portland. Was hoping to come home with a nice LGS early series star but due to the very back weather back east not all the dealers were able to attend which left a very noticeable amount of tables empty. None the less I was able to find a decent Minneapolis '34 star to fill a hole in my collection.
Love World War 2 and have been picking up a few lately. And I saw this bill with a moose, couldn't help myself
Not mine but purchased for a colleague who identified it as a previously unknown issue of 1893 scrip.
I've been posting a lot lately haha. More for my world war collection. I especially like the Japanese one pound, goes along perfect with my Aussie one.
