Nice note! I don't have one of those yet, but it's on my list. I'm guessing yours grade around VG-Fine?

Nice note SemperFiSilver! Seems yours was printed in DC and in that condition is worth around $125. From a high print run, but still cool to have it in a 69 grade
I happened to go golfing with a buddy of mine after work today. We stopped by a local bar for a drink and a bite to eat. I paid for the drinks and when he asked me what he owed me, I said only $2. He opened his wallet and was telling about some guy he knew who had a whole bunch of "old bills" and silver certs he collected. I managed to take these two beauties off of his hands for face value for the drinks. He said I could have first dibs on the silver certs whenever I wanted them. Pretty awesome if you ask me. Now the scans took off the edges for some reason, so they are all decently centered, which is even nicer.
Technically, these are not new acquisitions - I received them back from PCGS today, and they feel like new acquisitions!
In another envelop in today's mail, was the Series 1935 Silver Certificate AB Block "Experimental" Note. It was accompanied by a 1969 $1 FRN with a courtesy autograph from Dorothy Andrews Elston.
Nice notes Clay. I've been looking for a decent 1988A $1 Minneapolis I-A block note for 2 years now, and finally found one from Scott Lindquist. ....and this 1963 $1 Chicago G-B mule was also on my want list. The low serial number is an added bonus. Notice the very subtle centering difference and the grades.
Awesome One of the ladies I used to work with at the bank got this in her till today. I was nice and figured I'd give her 120 for it since it's a nice find. She said she hopes to get more from this church that's been making deposits. We'll see!
yah that's one thing I do miss. finding cool bills all the time. but hey they call when they have nice stuff here and there!
Very nice bills. Gosh, a gold cert. First one Ive seen. I'm new to currency. Super grades on those ones. In your opinion is it centering holding them back from even higher grades?
Wow, a gold cert found in circulation? That never happens. Wonder if some kid got into his dad's stash and is spending it for face value?
WOW...a 1928 Gold Certificate in circulation. Probably worth 8 to 10 times face value in that condition. Great pick-up for $120.00. Lots of really nice notes on this thread, and great variety.
I said WHAT when she told me what she found. She was asking my opinion on how much it was worth so she wouldn't get screwed when she went to SELL IT TO A DEALER! I was like **** no I'm buying it from you! She went against policy and took it out of her own till so noone would know haha It was from a church though so what we are thinking is either A-they wanted to give it to the church hoping they would know the value, B-was an older person who just didn't realize what their spouse had when they passed and used it, or C- some kid inherited a collection and had NO idea what anything was worth. But I got lucky and so did she! so I'm happy! I wanted to buy one very badly but didn't want to spend a whole lot. And very nice notes!
