Just got a few thousand out of the bank. Greatest thing is that out of the hundreds I got, three were stars from 2006. I'm probably going to spend the HL with a print run of 3,200,000, but the HK's came from a run of 96,000! Here they are:
Nice circulation finds Dr Kegg....wish I could say "Just got a few thousand out of the bank". The HK*'s are also consecutive.
Thanks Steve. It's all for the house closing I have next Monday. Have to move some money around...so.... Yeah, I saw they were consecutive as well. These are the lowest print run of any stars since at least 1981, so I'm feeling pretty good about it. Here's some info I got from the star note resource page I always use, http://www.mycurrencycollection.com/reference/stars/: Serial Number: Denomination $100 Series 2006 Serial Number HK09613328* Run 4 Run Size 96,000 Run Range 09600001 - 09696000 Total Printed 2,016,000 Gaps None Month Printed April 2010 Facility DC Comments N/A
Thanks guys. I'm currently looking to see what they're worth. My paper money catalog is not the newest edition so it doesn't have much on these 2006 series notes. Anyone want to PM me or reply with current values in XF condition? Just looked at the notes again. I need values in VF if possible, not XF. I need to be conservative with grading for these.
Some recent notes in via Robert at First City this week. They're all ChCU and were Series that I needed for my small-size FRN collection of $1 notes from the STL Federal Reserve District. I have just a few more of the pricier Series left to complete the ones... F-1906H $1 Series 1969C SN:H01989976* F-1931H $1 Series 2003A SN: H26957546B F-1933H $1 Series 2006 SN: H50476474A
Paper Money Values (published by Coin World) online editions just says "Current" in the Series 2006 $100 notes price column, which to me means face value in ChCU. I'm sure you could purchase for more from a dealer but the price guides I see, even the 3rd Edition of the Friedberg Red Book - A Guide Book of US Paper Money only listed "current" when it released end of last year. The previous series 2003A $100 notes in ChCU guide book prices range from $125-$175.
The final piece of the puzzle. It's the 10th 4-subject Star Sheet for the 1976 $2 denomination. I don't know why the BEP didn't print Richmond & Minneapolis sheets, but they didn't. I saved the most expensive sheet for last....now the set is finally complete.
Got my latest upgrade yesterday. The first note is one of the lowest graded to date, in an old style PMG holder, and the second note was obtained from a friend at a different forum, and it resides in the new style PMG holder.
