Will less paper currency in circulation make notes even rarer and more sought after? Or will people lose interest in paper money as a collector's item as people have less personal experience with it? It seems to me like collectors have been interested in coins since ancient times, and that will likely never change; however, since paper currency is a much more recent development in our history, Im much less sure about what the future holds for its collectibility. I am posting this because my collecting interests have shifted more towards paper currency away from coinage in recent years, and I'm wondering about whether it's advisable to spend the money on quality, high grade notes if the field of collecting may be on the verge of significant change? Thanks for any insight.[/QUOTE]
