I have bought quite few coins from Spain, I bought this Castulo coin from a seller in Spain they would not ship to the United States so I had it sent to my very good friend in Spain. He then sent the coin to me and it arrived yesterday. My friend Juan Antonio also sent me a gift in the package with a proto money that is just awesome, I love it.

My Friend knew I had wanted some proto money pieces and had sent me a pic of some that were offered up as a lot for sale by a guy He knows. I decided it was more than I wanted to pay so He ended up getting one of them anyway and gave it me as a gift. Here is the same exact one circled in the pic of a lot of them.

@John Conduitt The style of the one given to me is called a palm tree Aes formatum is this correct ? What would the heart shape or tear drop shape be called ?

    Thank you !

Yes. I think the others are simply called heart-shaped aes formatum. A lot of it comes from Italy

bcuda, your Iberian collection is very nice. So nice of you for posting them.

These are two of my favorite coins from Castulo.

I traded a good portion of my US silver quarter collection for the As at a local coin show one year.

The Semis came from Ebay at a steal several years ago. I don't see that much anymore.

A new semis just arrived yesterday in the mail after about a month of waiting.
I'll try to get it photographed one of these days and posted.

After posting up the pics of my Iberian Castulo coins
I noticed I did not have pics of all of them.

So here are 3 more that I took pics of today. And 3
    more that I purchased today.

I am trying to put together a complete set of all of the
    different denominations and variants.

@doucet @Alegandron and @Bing You all have some nice Castulo coins I love them all !

I can remember seeing so many different ones of them from the metal detectors that would meet in a little plaza every Sunday to buy sell and trade when I was in Spain and I thought wow I will never be able to find all those different ones metal detecting.
