Yes, PO Box is the best way to go. I have had one for years. Started using it because when I was still working I would get mail from prison inmates and I did not want them knowing my home address. I use it for all eBay sales or purchases. I don't worry about my residential delivery guy because he collects coins so I give him some of my numismatic magazines after I read them, which he greatly appreciates and we stand by my mailbox and chat about mint releases and shows I go to lots of times.

Never had anything lost at the PO but I have a great relationship with some of the ladies that work there so they watch for registered stuff when I tell them it's coming, they take care of my stuff when I am going to be gone. And yes, sometimes it's inconvenient when you know something you want is there and it's late Sat afternoon or Sunday and you can't get it. You just gotta go during normal working hours to get your stuff.

AND, don't forget....your PO Box cost may be tax deductible!!! I do mine.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I luckily haven't any instances where I felt like my normal routine of the coins going into the mail box was become risky but I just want to be protected against the circumstances.

I went ahead and got the box and I'm happy to soon be using it.

I've had a PO box for years only had 1 problem when I lived in NH and the General Store was were the box was located. I had some gold come back from a TPG and they opened it, the PO person thought it was there stamp order so she said.
