Well said. I just bought a 2025 Toyota RAV4, which has features unimaginable on cars I bought 20 years ago. I'll probably never use the features, but I'm glad they're there. The first car I bought was a used 1960 VW bug. I paid for seat belts to be installed, but the car's engine died when I got the first oil change. Had to trade it for a new 65 bug, losing $250 in the process. My salary was only $400 a month, so that $250 created a lasting memory. Now where was I going with this? And what does it have to do with numismatics?
The only "new" gizmo I would be willing to pay up for is the anticollision feature. As I get older my reflexes diminish, and this could save me from an accident.
If you want to see high prices, go to a large show and look at Bust Half Dollars with really nice color. If that's not high enough, look for Bust Half Dollars with really nice color and a CAC sticker. You won't find a price guide for those but someone will walk up and buy it.
