    A bit of a mess here. William III first bust 1696 shilling with 9 over inverted 9 or 6 depending on how you want to phrase it. And based on the digit relief, possibly the last 6 was converted from a 5. Adjustment marks on both sides to get the weight right.

    A slightly more modern issue. 1950/1 Sweden 2 Kronor. Also has a re-punched MM. As you can see, they tried some judicious die polishing to erase them with no success
