Two questions: Did he list a picture of the coin individually and how much did it cost

Well why don't somebody go ahead and ban me from this forum. Since just about everybody disagrees with my opinions. You guys buy off of Heritage without care at all.

"Hey coinguy, try Heritage for your Matte Proof's." Yep I did, and look what the hell happend. I'm done with this bs, I'm tired of trying to warn people for buying raw key date coins on e bay because of the risk. But yet you guys just want to keep on complaining. That's fine, too. I'll just back off and get some popcorn.

Coinguy, it's not that everyone disagrees with your opinions. You continue to complain about Heritage. From what I have read about that issue, is maybe you should do some more learning before buying more coins. All TPG's have made mistakes on coins, they have guarantees for this. But the guarantee disappeared once you cracked the slab.

I know a few ppl who have bought raw key dates off of ebay. It can happen, you just have to really know what you are buying. Buying coins from anyone carries some risk.

I do agree that having viewed a coin in hand would almost always be better then buying it online from a photo or description. But not everyone has dealers or coinshows near them. The nearest coin shop for me is at least a 1 hour drive. And the closest coin show is almost 2 hrs.

Coinguy, if you bothered to read everything, you will see that the OP DID contact the seller and he DID get it resolved to his satisfaction. The OP also stated that he felt the seller was an honest older gentleman who didnt know the coin was altered. So, basically your last several posts are simply you throwing a tantrum.

Dude, chill out. If you bothered to pay attention what people have told you, instead of going on rants, you might learn something about how to buy stuff online and how to go about registering complaints and the like.

He's beyond hope... Young and full of rage because he made a mistake. I've been there... it's not a happy place to be, and the sooner he learns to get over it and move on, the better off he'll be. But he's gonna have to come to terms with that on his own, there's nothing that you or I can say that will make him feel better.

Coinguy, One thing to keep in mind: While a slabbed coin does add a degree of safety to an uneducated buyer, they are still capable of making mistakes. That's why you hear the saying "buy the coin not the plastic". Someone educated with the Lincoln series could tell a fake from a genuine with good clear pics...the same goes with just about any series.

Lets not turn this thread into the "How to tone coins" thread. Remember what happened a month ago, with the moderators kicking guys out (and why is the code of honor above me right now?)

Ok, he made a mistake. We all have made mistakes before, and it doesn't make sense to get mad at him when he recieved a fake. You need to look at a coin closely to determine if the date is altered

You guys sure love to keep egging me on. Merc, that's a pretty loaded comment. I appreciate you calling me, young and dumb. I'll give it to you saying that I'm full of rage, I'm on fire after your comment.

You want me to redact it? Just say so... you live and learn, man, and if you don't let things go and let them eat at you, it'll just mess you up even more in the long run. Any luck escalating the issue with HA?

I'm not going to say anything else, because if I continue to, I'll be permanently banned. You guys are seriously getting on my nerves.

Off the original topic, OP seems to have resolution.
People are getting irritated that Monday is coming on, so I am closing the thread.
