In the early 1970s I actually heard serious arguments that we should not end the war as it would create huge unemployment as the kids returned home.</p><p>With many of the Vets from Vietnam, Gulf, Iraq and Afghanistan needing a hand there is a lot of healing work to be done.</p><p><br /></p><p>Veterans Day is a day we can all forget the realities of wars and the corruption and deceit and lies that begins all wars.
