<p>[QUOTE="pool138, post: 1401783, member: 15093"]I thought this might interest some people. I've had a short chat with a gentleman named Jayme Blaschke on Facebook who is in the process of writing a non-fiction book about the Chicken Ranch. A quick plug for Jayme: If you go to Facebook visit his page titled "Chicken Ranch Central" and click LIKE. There is a lot of access to other info on the Chicken Ranch on the page as well. </p><p>Anway he has allowed me to post our short conversation we had on Facebook about the "Good For One Ride" token so here goes:</p><p><a href="http://www.cointalk.com/#" class="internalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://www.cointalk.com/#"></a></p><p><br /></p><p>[h=6]<a href="http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1173328545" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1173328545" rel="nofollow">John Gross</a></p><p>[/h][h=6]I have an original Chicken Ranch token if you are interested in pics. Check this thread out in cointalk. It is only 2 pages long but I have posted the pics there and I think you'll find the thread interesting.[/h] <a href="http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1173328545" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1173328545" rel="nofollow">John Gross</a> oops here's the link: <a href="http://www.cointalk.com/t38794-2/" class="internalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://www.cointalk.com/t38794-2/">http://www.cointalk.com/t38794-2/</a> <a href="http://www.cointalk.com/t38794-2/" class="internalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://www.cointalk.com/t38794-2/"><img src="http://external.ak.fbcdn.net/safe_image.php?d=AQCqJmCeLzcH4Eny&w=90&h=90&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.cointalk.com%2Fattachments%2F162245d1329296689t-img_20120215_023419.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /></a> <b><a href="http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.cointalk.com%2Ft38794-2%2F&h=XAQGoszMoAQGabyZr2XTG4fwzzvDrGb0rmliJVRVX4bgU2g" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.cointalk.com%2Ft38794-2%2F&h=XAQGoszMoAQGabyZr2XTG4fwzzvDrGb0rmliJVRVX4bgU2g" rel="nofollow">Original Chicken Ranch La Grange token - Page 2</a></b> </p><p><a href="http://www.cointalk.com/" class="internalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://www.cointalk.com/">www.cointalk.com</a></p><p><br /></p><p><a href="http://www.facebook.com/ChickenRanchCentral" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://www.facebook.com/ChickenRanchCentral" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://profile.ak.fbcdn.net/hprofile-ak-ash2/50218_124206094296035_1998034349_q.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /></a> <a href="http://www.cointalk.com/#" class="internalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://www.cointalk.com/#"></a></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><a href="http://www.facebook.com/ChickenRanchCentral" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://www.facebook.com/ChickenRanchCentral" rel="nofollow">Chicken Ranch Central</a> John, thanks for the link! I've got good news and bad news for you. The bad news first: It's not real. Check out TAMS Journal Oct. 1979, part 1 vol. 19 no. 5. Also, my interviews with Edna Milton confirmed the Chicken Ranch never minted tokens or the like. The good news: You've got the rarest of the faux tokens, minted not too long after the place closed, possibly even before the play opened on Broadway. Certainly before 1978, once the restaurant opened in Dallas they made a bunch using their logo, and these are most common on Ebay, etc. </p><p><br /></p><p>The doctor's name was Guenther. However I question TAMS source for the information they give on this subject. But it is tough to question yours! Would you mind if I copied and pasted your response in our thread.
