OPINIONS on When/If Gold is going to reach $2000/ounce?

I would be interested in getting the CT group's opinions as to when or if GOLD will reach
the $2000 per ounce threshold.
Kinda believe it will, but if it sticks that's another question.

Along the lines of what @Heavymetal posted, let's phrase the question differently: how great will the devaluation of the dollar ultimately be?

 

Depends on what you mean by "ultimately". I don't see it holding any value at all once the Sun expands into a red giant...

 

Well, part of gold's very recent rise is due to the drop in the value of the dollar.

 

I can't speak to ultimately, but by 2032 I see an overall weakening of the dollar to 20-30% of it's current buying power.

 

Spot price is $1970.52 right now... it probably will be at $2000 in a few days. In times of crisis gold has always been going up, right? So no surprise.

Yes it will, and very soon. That price is a test level for gold.
