Would you be buying it primarily for its silver value? If so, avoid 1/2 oz coins entirely. The premium over spot on these is almost twice what you'd pay for 2016 ASEs.

Do you like sharks? Go for it! Other than that, I'd stay away.

I have a mintdirect tube of each of the first two, I'll probably get this one but expect to sit on it till I die and my kids will off it for melt.

I see no numismatic premium to these in the future ....might be able to squeeze a little extra out of them if sold in sets.

I don't purchase Kooks, Koalas, or the Lunar series. The Lunar Goat II is the first Lunar coins I have ever purchased. I don't like the premiums on them, and how APMEX says they'll rebuy the for $1 over spot but sells them almost $10 over spot. Same goes for the Kooks. I did however purchase 10 Silver Kangaroos a few months ago.

I do like sharks and the final coin in the series minted at .9999 (Tiger Shark) was announced today. I'm wondering if just 20 coins of each (Great White, Hammerhead, Tiger) will do. I don't see the point in a Monster Box of either one.

I meant to say I might buy just 20 coins of each shark, and put them in air-tites in the air-tite tube versus buying the standard 25 per tube. And then in the future if/when silver goes back into upper-20s-30s sell them all as a set of 60 in total.
