Sometimes for whatever random reason I choose to take a closer look at coins in an album. Was looking at my Roosevelt dime album, satisfied that I had everything from 1962 to 2024 when I looked at the back of the 1963 and noticed a strange mark... So I get out the magnifying glass and realize that the 1963 is actually in fact a 1963-D. (So is the one in the actual 1963-D space). I double checked all the other Roosevelt dimes and thankfully this is the only one I made that mistake on. So OK, spare 1963-D, it's silver so still saving it but... That means there's now an unfilled hole on that page, and that bugs me as it ruins the satisfaction of a complete page. Normally I've been trying to fill this with roll hunting, and don't like to buy individual issues because it kind of feels like cheating. But this bugs me too much to wait and hope that a silver dime, already a rare find, will be that specific date. So I decided to grant myself an exception and just buy that one. This is kind of how my mind works lol. I mean if I wasn't borderline OCD probably wouldn't be into collecting anyway.
Anytime I buy a coin it is because I like it. So for me, I have to double check all coins in my albums. If I don't have a spot for a coin. I will look for the nearest open space plug the hole and worry about it later. I have no problem with open spots.
Now you need to go and check the backs of the coins in your Indian Cent album and do the same thing. Find an "S" on the back of one of those 1908 or 1909 Indians.
For those that may buy my albums at a later date, check them for a variety. RPM, Omm, Ddo, Ddr, or Error.
