Howdy, I'm a noob here and have a quick question. I have my eye on some things I'd like to buy and the cheapest place I have found so far is Gainesville Coins. Does anyone know if they are a reputable dealer?
You may want to be a bit more specific about what you plan to buy. Some dealers are better than others for different items, and the cheapest is not always the best. Welcome to CoinTalk!
I ordered bullion from Gainesville and I was completely satisfied. The prices are pretty good and they don't charge an arm and a leg for shipping or using a credit card.
I have found the 2 best online dealers for bullion to be Provident Metals and Gainesville Coins in terms of service, price, item quality and shipping charges.
Check out DBS Coins as well. They have the best prices I've found anywhere. Free shipping and no tax! Great online dealer.
What treehugger said. Gainseville and Provident are the two best I've found in terms of price and service.
I saw that as well, If your website is not automated to reflect current spot + your fee, then I don't need to shop with you, unless you are going to be giving me a nice discount.
Not sure if they are a member here, but they are worth calling if you want to buy bullion. If you just want one or two coins...I wouldn't bother, stick to ebay or something. If you want a good price on rolls or boxes of bullion, it might be worth your while to take the time and give DBS a call. They might not have all the bells and whistles on their website, but does that matter when your saving money?
I have a website that you can get to by going to my profile and hitting "home page" and we have some pretty cool things in stock. But if you are just looking for bullion Silver towne has been the best for me.
To answer the OP's question, I would say that yes, they are a reputable dealer. I've always been happy with my purchases from them and they seem to be honest people.
