Pavlos You pick out the big men. I'll make them brave!

Great Epeirote league drachm @Severus Alexander. Very nice relief of Zeus and the reverse good and visible with a bonus letter E on it! The magistrate (Symbol: ƎK) is like my silver coins, the most common one:

    Epirote League Drachm (234–168 B.C.)
    Obverse:
Head of Zeus Dodonaeus right wearing oak wreath, monogram below and behind.
Reverse: ΑΠΕΙ - ΡΩΤΑΝ; eagle with closed wings standing right on thunderbolt, oak wreath around.
    Reference: Franke 32-91.

    Epeirote League Diobol (234–168 B.C.)
    Obverse:
Head of Zeus Dodonaeus right wearing oak wreath, monogram behind.
Reverse: ΑΠΕΙ - ΡΩΤΑΝ; thunderbolt, oak wreath around.
    Reference: BMC 7.91.44.

I noticed Frank got some very interesting coins for auction, and no buyers fee! I will definitely participate in his next auction.

This one arrived yesterday. While waiting, I discovered it was offered in a Pegasi auction last November, where everyone agreed it wasn't worth the starting price of $150. I suspect you'll be pleased with your decision to not have gone to $100 for it. On my end, I'm fairly pleased to have won it for $75. Can we say everyone got what they wanted? :shame:
