This dollar of 2009 was signed by Rosa Gumantaotao Rios Treasurer of the United States of America, when I was her escort during a tour of the Fortaleza in Puerto Rico. Could I have a treasure here?
its cool but i dont know if her sig is of any value and theres a few things going against it, the note's condition is poor and it's personalized, (to jose), but its a cool treasure to pass down in the family...
Ken, it was a great oversight of mine since I kept it for several years, folded into my portfolio until I showed it to a friend. He suggested going to a collector's store, to buy a foil and keep it there. Then look for the picture of Rosa Gumantaotao Rios and frame it next to the dollar.
Steven, congratulations for having the luck to get the two signatures in your twenty dollar star. What is different in my case is that I did not collect anything at that time, I did not have cash in my wallet only cards and the dollar that the Treasurer, I signed was a dollar that she took from her wallet, I signed it and gave it to her.
Courtesy autographs are neat but fairly common, especially from modern day notes. It's worth more to you than it is to anyone else, especially if you fished it from your wallet. Nice courtesy notes usually bring at best $20 over face. And that is usually crisp notes, often slabbed.
