<p>[QUOTE="gbroke, post: 1646434, member: 22585"]Although I collect toned coins, I generally stay away from toned copper. My personal opinion is that it is too easy to artificially tone copper and have a convincing result. I do keep any I find in mint or proof sets though. At least I am more confident the colors are natural. The vivid greens are the ones I feel look the nicest. Here are a few I have pulled from sets.</p><p><br /></p><p><img src="http://memberitemcdn3.coinnection.com/1000_466584b0cd1059f2b4d52870db490644f750a3d2fccb6b2.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /></p><p><img src="http://memberitemcdn6.coinnection.com/1000_8e5beb2bb09e5ff21569024828925db4a45084e3457571b.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /></p><p><img src="http://memberitemcdn2.coinnection.com/1000_76af1c41141c87d66c749885df45e0f7335105bfb464017.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p>I also like the "tiger" toning and furious red that is common on many high luster wheaties.</p><p><br /></p><p><img src="http://memberitemcdn8.coinnection.com/1000_164e1ad4c76fb83d48fe9df50b04e39b310508de2cfa6a02.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /></p><p><img src="http://cdn1.sharemyco.in/shared_774a863f62c963cbfedbec8c80ea24a034508de2a0412a6.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /></p><p><img src="http://cdn2.sharemyco.in/shared_ii1208366750064b160c805.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /></p><p><br /></p><p>I also have a few of these, which I have shown plenty of times. 1970 proof cents are notorious for wild bullseye toning.
