I think it's a great error. I would love to have a coin like that in my collection.

I think you gave a good price. I know this is apple and bananas comparison but. The average I've seen the the Nickel struck on a struck cent has been going for 1k and if it's a struck wheat cent, upwards of $1500+.

 

And this one has no "story"!

 

hahahahahaha! Nice one If I win the lotto I will surely put out a few rarities for someone to get in change. I would actually like to do that. The best I can do now is spending a few dateless buffalo nickels, and torn silver certificates.

 

I will too! I've just given out some Ikes and kennedys along with a few Sacajawea and Presidential dollars that had some minor condition issues. Always fun to see young cashiers faces and that look of confusion-even on the new dollars!

 

I have a friend that is very $2 bill crazy. He buys tons of them and it is like the only currency he spends. Every now and then he gets accused of trying to spend counterfeit money. In once case the person said "Ha I caught you" my friend says "caught me doing what?" cashier "trying to spend fake money (calls the manager over).....The manager "whats wrong with this bill, it looks real to me?". cashier "they never made $2 bills" HAHAHAHA
