    Severus Alexander, Thank you for your kind words. My modest knowledge and collection doesn't extend past this date in May, 1453 (save for a few scrappy Trebizond issues), but you reminded me - I had forgotten I had this one of Mehmed II. Second reign, AD 1451-1481. AV Sultani Altin (3.52 gr, 20 mm. 6h). Qustantiniya (Constantinople) mint. Dated AH 883 (AD 1478/9).
