Okay I've searched through 5 boxes of Halves and average about 1 40% for every 1 1/2 box. Tommorow I'm going camping so I decided to search through the last half of my half dollar box. ( searched through the first half earlier). For those of you who saw his book on silver coins, he's wanted to find one ever since. Because I already found my silver I decided to let him CRH the last half of the box (25 rolls). The first one he found was a 1987 half, which was his second 1987. On the last roll I told him not to feel sad because he didn't find any silver. But he told me that there was a small chance the last roll had silver. So he opened the roll and in the pile I immediatley spotted the 1964 on top! I've never found a 90% half in all my boxes and he decided a to steal it from me ? GRRRRRRRRRR there are some pics. Gotta love a brother 'Creepy'.......especially a younger one. You are his roll (role) model. Most marvelous find!
funny story. now you have him hooked for life. I will be getting more half rolls on my next paycheck. I cannot afford a whole box yet. most banks around here only have 1 roll or none. it sucks. still gonna search for silver. I might change to dimes searching ???
Be careful the monsters you create - my 9 year old Daughter is a finding fiend now, she searches the rolls I buy and keeps them for Her Majesty's Royal collection.
