A 1934 $20. Beautiful note, probably was a VF+, still had some crisp to it. This was this year, 2010.

1934 A or something like that $10 note in about VG condition. Alot of folds and wrinkled and the usual soiled but no tears.

This was about in the mid 80s or early 90s.

Can't seem to break the 1934 barrier. in the past year have received some 20's, 50's and a 100 all '34 series from banks. If the OP meant "received as change" from a purchase then I'd have to go all the way back up to 1990 for a crisp $10 FRN I received a few months ago.

Last week I received a series 1969 $1, in change at a bar. Low SN, too: 00004056, not a star. It was issued for the San Francisco FRB. It's a little ragged, and has heavy center crease/wallet fold, but I'd say it's a keeper, since it's not an everyday find.

Why do these threads that are a few months old keep coming up on the list to the right side of the page ?

I feel like the idiot I am when I respond to one, only to see the last post was 3-4 months ago.

Well, if they appear on the "recent threads" list, they've already been bumped up. Somtimes when doing a search on a specific topic, older threads are "bumped" to current status. I see nothing wrong with it, so you don't have to feel like an idiot.

depends on the topic of the thread, imo. this one is timeless as people are always finding stuff in circulation.
