Last year I found a 1910 Lincoln in a back roll - could barely read the date. Today I came close - a 1919 Lincoln, a little better shape. They're still out there. Lou Obverse.jpg Reverse.jpg

I don't remember the exact year, but I once found an Indian Head cent back when I used to hunt rolls. It was well worn and nothing special, but it kind of blows the mind thinking about how on earth something like that could still be surfing around in circulation. I do remember that it was in a roll with recent memorials and even shield pennies, so no clues to the anomaly there. Who knows!?

Nice. Earlier this year I found a 1900 Liberty Nickel in a bank roll. Yes, they are still out there.

I have looked through about 1500 Wheat Cents that I’ve had for too many years to count. Yesterday was no different. I found 7 Indian Head Cents. 3 had been polished to the nicest copper color. At least they are all common dates.

I still have a dozen or more tubes of '70s & wheat pennies from my 50 year box. I also have a half dozen rolls I labeled "wheat cents" in a bureau along with a dozen or so Canadian penny rolls I rolled up in the early '70s when I worked in St. Albans Vt.

That's cool, as I'm sure you're aware about half of those are RPM's.

That’s why we look. Not sure if I’ve found a V nickel. One time I scored 3 maybe 4. Full rolls of Buffalo (mostly no date) nickels. Even said on rolls no date nickels. Lol

Just to touch 100 year old coins is a thrill. That’s what me and @PamR are talking about. We’re small potatoes, but do like finding stuff that looks good to us. For Me it’s shiny

Found this going through that 10+ pounds of cents. Only gone through a handful so far. Nothing older than 1972, so it had to have been someones change jar that ended in '72 and got bagged up and sold.
