@Eric the Red you're amassing a beautiful, honest commerce wear, assortment of coins. Each one tells a unique story. It's obvious you're proud, and rightly so, of the coins you find. There are numerous coins that intrigue from the ones you posted. I'd have to say the '17 SLQ T1 stands out IMO. Kudos to you on the success of your lot/collection purchases.
You find the craziest stuff in Florida!. A couple months back I found a WW2 officers Samurai/Katana and an 1860 Civil War officers sword at an Estate sale for $25 each.
You just made me very jealous. Not with your haul, but with your location. Where abouts in paradise do you reside?
Hey CJ73. I am in the Tampa area, but my job takes me all over Central Fl. The state is a melting pot and a retirement capital ,so everyone's stuff comes with them when the move here. Making yard sales. Flea markets, estate sales and auctions more interesting
I frequent a destination 35 minutes west of sr70 and i75, whenever i can, my little home away from home. Can't wait to join you there for good, my friend. Couple years to go, if everything doesn't end, by then.
Didn't go through them one x one for value or condition, etc...just a very general obs plus not being much of a dime or nickel buff...I liked the 1916 Barber 50c as the last in that series, and the 1917 Walker 50c as representing the very next year and the new design for the half (if not the first, also in 1916).
hey Eric the Red you got a lot of cool coins there. i like the 1908 Barber and 1917 walker. great job on finding them. good luck to ya
I found an interesting article of the sale of his collection in 1987... https://www.chicagotribune.com/news/ct-xpm-1987-05-31-8702100325-story.html
