I'm pretty sure he's searched more rolls in one day than I have my entire life.

$1200.00 is a healthy sum. Back when I was big into roll hunting, I had a continuous order of 2 boxes of halves from 5 different branches of the same bank. I would be getting 10 boxes a week just from the repeating orders. I also used to go bank to bank and hunt through all the rolls they had. On an average week I would go through between 15 and 20 boxes or $7500.00 - $10,000.00 in halves. This was back in 2011 when I was hunting it that heavily. The price of silver justified the work at the time. My silver intake for 2011 was just shy of 250 ounces with the spot price of silver averaging in the low $30.00 range with a cost average per ounce of $2.42. Not bad for sorting in the evenings while watching tv. ;)
