Speaking of Peru, I remember picking this custom set and found it really neat: Doesn't look like they toned very nice but still picked it around melt value back then when silver started to creep up to the 15-20 dollar mark. I'm not complaning.
Great set. Not sure why but like the fish on this, lol. Thats also a great set gxseries, interesting toning on those.
State South Peru. One dinero 1866, silver .900, weight - 2,5 g., size - 18 mm, mintage - unknown. Coins of this type were released at 1863-67, 1870, 1872, 1874-75 and 1877.
This token was minted in October 8 1935 for fund raising on construction of a monument of admiral Miguel Grau (Peruvian national hero).
South Peru. 1/5 sol 1865, silver .990, weight - 5 g., size - 23 mm, thickness - 1,45 mm, mintage unknown. Lima Mint. Such coins were released at 1863-67, 1869, 1874 and 1875.
One centavo 1863, copper-nickel, weight - 4,3 g., size - 19 mm, thickness - 1 mm, mintage - 1000000 pcs. Such coins were released at 1863 and 1864.
