Where should I go to sell my old gold jewelry? Anyone ever done this before?

You will need to research and locate the jewelry vendors and brokers in your area. You can find these vendors in local listings and directories under ‘jewelry’, ‘pawn shops’ or ‘estate sales’. They can help you.

If you are looking for selling your jewelry online,Ebay and Amazon can help you.

That is correct. Prior to shopping for a place to sell, I would recommend getting information together such as the exact weight you have in gold. Once you know the exact weight in gold, you can look up the current spot price of gold and have a good idea what the raw bullion value is. I have heard that a lot of the major gold buyers, especially the ones who advertise on places like cable news shows, will give you an extremely low price. It is in your best interest to know what you have, what it is worth, and understand what a fair price for your gold is (knowing that the company that buys it still needs to make a profit, so you won't get full value).

I have heard that many places advertise great rates but once you mail it in, they give you a cheap price. I am leary of doing that so I will have to check around and see.
