I couldnt say how it got there, not saying you didnt find it where you say. I know that fake Spanish coins have been found on beaches by detectorist who swear they found it. Someone planted those coins there or someone got it as a novelty and lost it there one can assume. I have seen a lot of people find fake coins far newer than what they thought they would be from how or where they found them. On the other hand there was a guy who said he dropped REAL roman coins on the beach in America to freak out people who might find them so far out of place. Not long ago some person got an ancient Jewish coin in change...made the papers...but it was fake. In the end, regardless of where it was found, it is still a replica selling for 2 USD retail. Sorry about that...hope you end up finding something good though.
I would say that I have found a wealth of information on this website. Thanks for everyone being so generous with their information. It's still a cool find and I guess you could understand my interest into the coin being an amature and finding the coins in such a location. The only problem is that the site that I found these coins is VERY VERY remote. It takes 5 hours to get to the site any way except from a helicopter lol. I have to walk a creek for like 3 hours and then on land for 1 or 2 just to get to the site. As far as I know...I'm the only one who knows about this site. I am very interested as to how someone dropped this coin. Oh well some questions can never be answered. Thanks for everything. Hutchdaddy
