I purchased this at a local dealer for $.70 per ounce over melt. I did some research and it appears to have been minted during the 1980s. Does anybody know more information about these "MTB" bars. Is the bar authentic? Also because of the age and brand is this bar worth a larger premium? Thanks

i love johnson matthey stuff purely because they have made so many different types of bars and rounds. if i remember correctly they also stopped producing bars/rounds in the 80's.

That's unbelievable! How cool. Where did you buy it? Did you get it direct from MTB?

I picked it out of my dealers junk silver bin for spot. Silver was just dirt cheap at the time. I had no idea that any of these bars carried a premium over melt until very recently.
