OK, who is with me on not liking albums and why?

It sounds to me as if in most cases, coins that are not well regarded as far as a level of preservation and higher value are concerned, albums seem to be the first choice for collectors. To me serious hobbists and professional or acedemic numismatists don't use them. No flames, just an observation.
