Yep, it's mine. From way back when I collected large size. I quickly switched to small size (It was a generational thing, few of the older fellows much cared for small size, so you could build a collection for less money).
That is a FANTASTIC find  Congrats, your consecutive notes are great! How did you manage to find something like that? Did the seller even know what he/she had? I'm not sure how much you paid, but I feel like someone who isn't sure about what the notes may be worth wouldn't shell out thousands of dollars so I'm assuming you scored BIG :kewl:
Wholly Cow!! Nice pick up! I need one of these for my type still too and you come across that many. Go get a lotto ticket with that luck Congratulations on them.
I just purchased a collection from an estate of an old collector that was in the mid 5 figures. I told them I didn't know the value of these so we left it at that. I will sell them, and give them their due money. I could of gotten them dirt cheap, but I don't operate that way. Not even going to tell them about them until they sell. Then I will present them with a check.
You know, integrity is very expensive. But it does allow you to look yourself in the eye in the mirror. Good man.
Just an update.. STILL waiting on PCGS.. gotta love the great service they provide. They have had them since July 1st. Tapping my foot....
My question is about selling them in an auction, would you want 6 different lots or one single lot (or some other combination)? Could you actually do better if they were sold as 6 separate lots as long as it was made clear that they were consecutive numbers?
Update.. Got the grades FINALLY from these notes from PCGS 302 - 45 red 303 - 50 304 - 58 305 - 58ppq 306 - 58ppq 307 - 62 Value anyone? : )
Jim, Set up a free Heritage Auctions account and browse the Archives for what they have been selling for recently. You can also pop into a book store with a lot of magazines like B&N or Borders type shop, look at their Paper Money magazine, it's put out by Coin World and they publish 'price guide' style values.
the confusion comes in with the serial numbers being in sequence. I know what the notes are as singles.. got some heavy hitters looking at these
trying to figure out how much the group is as a whole might make your head hurt. Do you have folks looking at buying them as a group??
Oh oh I will give you $10 for one of those LMAO nice buy As rickieB said depending on how much you paid. I have been trying to get my hands on the $1, $2 & $5 denomination of these notes as they are affordable for me. (I hate being a poor collector)
Seems XF-AU on these notes, so probably the amount quoted before is accurate (1st page)....wow, what a great find!
