[QUOTE="karrlot, post: 431668, member: 4476"]Keep an eye out for errors: I've never found any, but you should watch for any that are misprinted, offset, or folded while printed. There are also bills called 'web notes' that I don't know anything about. I hear can carry a decent premium. Its pretty fun searching serial numbers. Every once in a great long while, you can find a really good number. I've actually found a $1 that is 00000001. Just yesterday I got a strap of ones that is 82222201-82222300. There are lots of cool ones in there including 82222222, 82222228, 82222282, and 82222288. Thats the best strap I've ever got. I always keep: Binary - only two different numbers 55353353 Trinary - only three different numbers 55373757 Radars or palendrome- same frontwards and backwards - 10822801 4 digit repeaters - 10821082 Four pair - 10822108 Four or more leading zeros - 00008216 Five of a kind or more - 80030001 Five or more in a row 80333335 Bills that are a date - 08231994 Five or more in an up or down ladder - 87654000 Three or more pair together - 88665501 zip code bills - three leading or ending zeros that makes a real zip code. Some people collect propeller bills - reads the same upside down - 62855829 I don't have the energy to try to figure those out. Now, what you need to do is look at every single bill that comes through your hands, start saving these, put them in your sock drawer. After a year or so, you'll decide that its not worth hearing your spouse complain about all that money that is doing nothing in the drawer. You'll put them on ebay or some other website.
