There is a difference between a pyramid structure and a pyramid scheme.

You still didn't answer Matt's question about why your name was in the URL, and you seem to be avoiding my question, too. Nowhere have you said that you DO NOT work for this $cumb@g company. So, do you or don't you?

By the way, I see that you were removed from the NGC member list for posting this very same cr@p at just about the same time.

    I don't believe you!

I was asking around since I didnt want to spend a whole bunch of money just to get ripped off... I believe I said no in a fashionable sense, but if you need a definite no then here it is ....__----NOOO----__....

CPM9Ball... if you review the thread on the first page you will for sure see where I responded why salo was in the URL, This is because I had to, to buy the coins I above mentioned as well. Coin Police me all you want, please.. I believe in a free country your still allowed to ask more than one forum the same question. Have you ever asked more than two people about their opinions? Maybe one forum would tell me their legit and to buy from them and you guys tell me not to.

Either way I'm sure I will be able to wake up in the morning without a broken heart, no offense

I also have 3 businesses.. don't have time to spam for any company "DON'T BELIEVE ME CHRIS" lol.. I'm just joking with ya. I just like the hostility towards a guy asking a question, did I try to sell anyone anything? Isn't that what your supposed to do when spamming, selling? Maybe spamming is just to aggravate people, If that's the case then I'm spamming and that's another joke

This is true. I would consider Avon a MLM company, but not a pyramid scheme. I think. Never had any first person dealings with Avon, of course.

You came on here using the same "soft sell" that others have tried to use in the past humping for this company. The fact that you bought some coins from them strengthens my belief that you are fronting for them. That's how a pyramid scheme works. The fact that you (supposedly) own three other businesses is irrelevant. And, your carefree attitude when someone accuses you of such an association doesn't ring true. I still don't believe you!

Now this is getting interesting. Let's ignore the difference between pyramid structure and pyramid scheme for now and just focus on pyramid structure.

How about a sole proprietorship where the only employee is the owner? Would that be a "pyramid structure"? There are a lot more sole proprietorships out there than there are Fortune 500 companies.

Or, what about a partnership where the only two employees are the owners?

    Hrmmm...

How about companies that employ many people, like your church example, but the majority of the employees do not directly generate revenue for themselves or the company?

Of course many business structures resemble a pyramid, from a single CEO down through several upper managers, on down through even more middle managers, and ultimately to even more workers. But, do most legitimate businesses require their employees to purchase goods from them as a condition of their employement? Especially when the amount they're required to purchase exceeds their pay? Or, as is the case with pyramid schemes, do they require the employees to give money to the person above them in the organization and receive nothing in return except the promise that they'll be able to similarly abuse whoever they are able to sign up beneath them? No, no and a resounding no.

Touche.. I don't know if that's how you spell that, but your absolutely correct. I should have been more minimalistic on the companies that really portray this structure. Mainly big business was what I was meaning to say.

Im still sticking with churches Edited, Discussions of religion, world events, politics not directly related to numismatics is not allowed. not in a blasphemous way.

I think you should stick to QVC. Look at this amazing deal.

Maybe I should try this since I find most of these coins at the bank including Mercury dimes with the exception of the war nickel or buffalo nickels but I have seen a large tub of buffalo nickels being sold for a buck a piece. War nickels can be bought easily at melt.

Even I have heard about them, they're heavily trying to promote their "services" via youtube. The con artists always come out in times of uncertainty and try to profit of unsuspecting individuals.

Has anyone noticed that the OP has not bothered to post in any other thread or start any others about his collecting interests? This seems to be the only one that he has come back to. Is it because he wants to try to keep that shyster company, Numis, alive in this thread to lure someone into their fold? If, as he claims, he is not working for them, then why is this? I still don't buy his line!

I don't buy it either, Chris. Just the whole way he or she has gone about handling the whole situation is some what sketchy.

Clearly, the best solution is to keep this thread as close to the top of the list for as long as possible.

Not defending the OP, but I can answer your question. I would think it is MORE considerate and makes more sense to keep posting back in the original thread if your followup posts relate to the original topic. This keeps a single logical place to follow the "thread" / topic as it unfolds. For instance, say I started a thread "Geek's Collecting Interests". Do you really want me to start NEW threads along similiar lines each and every week? To me, it makes more sense to keep anything slightly related to my collecting interests in a single thread. A new topic would justify a new thread, but I'm not sure why someones credibility would be questioned if they keep their new thread count low. For instance, I have not started many threads. This is a guess on my part, but it may be that the OP is just new and doesnt have alot of topics to post about yet, since he's just getting back into the game.

I hope you guys dont still look at me suspiciously. :D

Why should we look at you suspiciously? You didn't come here using the same tactic, asking about Numis, that several others have. Of course he's not going to post any other threads. His only purpose was to make others curious about Numis, and possibly suck someone in. Yeah, he tried to play it cool and laugh off some of the negative comments just so he'd keep his foot in the door, but how many times have you seen a newcomer here get lambasted by some of the members and get so PO'ed that they don't come back? This guy is sticking around for one reason, and it ain't good!

So, every time he sticks his nose in the door, I won't let him forget it.

I appreciate the support, Paul, but what we really need to do is get the message out to the young kids and newcomers to collecting altogether. They are the ones who will most likely fall for it.
