@Amberlarry22 That is a great find. I'm jealous!!
I CRH several thousand rolls of nickels in the late 70's and early 80's.
Put together 4 roll sets of '38-'64. A couple dozen rolls of war nickels,
and a couple of hundred Buff's. I never found the first '50-D.

A really good box. The bank teller told me they were new. I said thats fine. I will take em. I was thinking! If its sealed how would she know. o_O I prefered older. She knew that! SHE TRIED TO PULL A FAST ONE. But ya, I have searched Tons also. My second best find CRH Nickels probably 1939 DDR.

I am still believing that some who have collections willed to them or otherwise, people don't have money and are using those collections to buy milk or something

Yep. Or dumping them into CoinStars or taking them to banks. It's all part of the Numismatic Circle of Life.

In the middle 50's I was encouraged by some fellow workers to look for 1938-D and 1950-D nickels. I found a couple of 38 coins, but the elusive 50D was not found. So, my wife decided to buy one for me to add to my very inadequate collection of Jefferson nickels. It is still there and as I get older, I wonder which "heir" will do "what" with my collection of mostly "junk" coins!

My credit union offers <2% on savings yet charges 15% to count loose change, and doesn't accept rolled coins, because they are of "unknown source". I think I should change banks.

Yes, that may be true as I got a 1901-O quarter in change at a bowling alley and it was in nearly UC shape, and I still have it. A beautiful coin.

I took several hundred dollars worth of change I had in coffee cans and such to my local bank. I left them there for about three weeks. They crunched them and deposited the total in my account - no charge.
