[QUOTE="Jeepfreak81, post: 3060168, member: 93888"]I'm sure others have gone or even still go through this, but I have always struggled with "shiny metal object syndrome". I think I just made that up, but I digress. Until recently I've considered myself to only be a casual collector and certainly not a real Numismatist, although I'm aiming to change that. My biggest problem has always been and still is to some extent, wanting everything new and shiny that I come across. The I have to have them all mentality. Which of course is pretty much impossible and certainly improbable especially given my financial situation. SO, I've been working hard to take notice of the things that seem to interest me the most and I think I've settled on a SMALLER list of things I want to focus on.

As some of you may have noticed from other threads I've taken interest in Commemorative coins. I like how many of them have a story or event tied to them and some history. I'm a glutton for knowledge so this appeals to me. So Early and Modern Commem's are now officially on my collection list. I also have interest in coins with wildlife on them. This is a huge list, especially when you expand to world coins. I've decided to Narrow that list down to only Wildlife that is native to my home state of NH. We'll start there and see how it goes. The great thing about this is I can add to this collection for very cheap and sometimes face value.

Lastly, Birth Year coins.
