what the heck was even that? That was just a bunch of clickbait and drivel to try and pull in advertising dollars. I'd hazard a guess that it's AI written as well.

Oh ya that whole site appears arranged to get you to click around. Pageviews = ad revenue.

I hate sites like this because it hurts people who actually put time and effort into writing good content.

This brings me back to the time when I thought they were worth a lot of money (not 80 mil) back when I was younger. I know better now, of course. Maybe it'll create some long-term collectors despite being wrong in nearly every regard?

I wonder if ChatGPT wrote the content.

From what I've seen, ChatGPT generally does a much better job than this.

Maybe, but it will likely create a lot more unhappiness when people realize they’ve been lied to. (If they ever do realize. Some may never get it.)

There are a lot of news stories (actually, mostly sports recaps) that are so poorly written that I pray to God that some AI thingy-ma-bob wrote it.

All of you have this all wrong. The secret of the tremendous value is that these were once owned by George Washington himself and carried with him to Valley Forge. You can tell these exceptionally rare ones because they carry the date 1776 as well as 1976 under Washington's picture.
