    Give it a break man.
Rickie, post some eye candy man, I posted Canadian coins and apparently those should have been in the "world" section, but no one said anything. Post away.

How does a cent clash with a $20 or $0.50? Do you have a thread where you discuss it so I can read more about it without sidetracking this one?

1857 was a crazy year at the US mint.
This one is the quarter clash. I don't own this one.

The mint recorded, that there were alot of "weird" situations with the coins in those years, and there was a "late night" watchman, that was on duty for those years and errors occurred.if you can imagine a small child with to blocks, banging them together.thats what I imagine.a man playing with a machine.

The Midnight Minter. We may never know all the truth but Frederick Eckfeldt is thought to have had lots of fun playing with dies.

Thank you for the "go ahead".
I just may decide to do just that in honor of a truly Great Man in Numismatics.

This thread seems to have paused a bit. Lets see if I can jumpstart it, with a gorgeous, highly lustrous, album toned AU Bust half.

Oh my, an attractive Seated Dollar. You don't see those everyday. What is the grade of that beauty?

Thanks. It's raw. Cleaned at some point but looks better and better as the years go by. It might grade one of these days. I'm thinking it might go AU50 but probably 45.

The only thing that would keep that from a 50 or 53 would be a silent net grade down for the cleaning. With a few more years, I'm not entirely sure that would even be a problem.
