Mine came last night, but haven't opened it at all. Wasn't sure what level of what you can do/get away with opening-wise, if thinking of sending in for grading.

They need to be unopened to qualify. Check for further information at the TPGS site.

As far as the really high priced ones, I had thought they were In Hand Baltimore show releases that graded Proof 70. I haven't seen anything ungraded go much higher than $1000 on ebay I know the baltimore show slabs arenumbers 6000-7000s from what I've seen. Unless David Ryder signed some in person at the show, which is possible I think.

I received my ASE enhanced reverse proof today. I got number 29xxx. No signature but I'm still very happy to have it. I'm considering sending it to PCGS.

Yes, or find a dealer who could do it for you. Grading just one coin can be pretty pricey, especially if you join just for that. If you get a higher membership, they come with a few free vouchers.

He did sign some at the show. A buddy of mine on my table got his signed and it is in for grading. He could not have signed many, by the time he was done at his allotted time no more than 150 of the coins had been sold. Few of those were signed.

And the ones he signed at the show he dated to differentiate from the first 100 he signed.

Yeah, after all the hemmin' and hawin', the reality is that I'll just be keeping it, was concerned about maximizing the future worth, but really, I'm just going to go home and open it up. Looks awesome.

Are you kidding, the coins ceased being important a long time ago. Today what matters is the plastice and the number on the label.
